News...blah

Okay, so the power went out at the house Tuesday night at the house and my news cast consisted of AM RADIO! WOOO HOO! It had to be the most boring half hour of my whole entire life. It is so monotoned! And the guys talking seem so rude. They were talking about the election, which was probably what all news casts were talking about sicne the primaries were held that day. To be completely honest I could not focus at all and I still don't know who won what states for the democrats. I did remain able to focus long enough to hear that Huckabee was dropping out of the race; however I think most people had already realized that.

Smoking vs. Pollution

This picture caught my eye because it reminds me of the Greenville Area Transit, with the driver facing backwards. The first time I noticed it my mom and I were driving through downtown and when she looked up she said "Oh shit, the bus is coming towards us." Haha. So I choose this picture and the next thing that came to mind was is the purpose of the add to convince people to stop smoking or is it also bringing pollution into the spotlight. Exhaust from the bus and second hand smoke are both damaging to the environment. Maybe the add is suggesting that if you don't support smoking you should not support transportation that puts exhaust into the atmosphere.

Favorite Place In The World

This is my all time favorite picture that I have taken. It was taken in Riviera Maya last June. My parents have a condo there and it is maybe the most beautiful place I have ever seen. Behind the camera there is a part of the resort that has been damaged by the hurricane and it looks terrible. To get out to this area you have to climb a fence and after climbing it the shore is really rocky and trashy looking but so worth it once gettin to the end up of the point. After climbing the fence you can see all of the condemed condos, which locals are living in despite the holes in their ceilings, no windows, no doors, etc., and it makes you realize how lucky you are to be able to go home as well as travel and still have better accomadations than what these people live in everyday.

Stressing

Okay, so it seems like every one of my classes is choosing to give an exam at the same time. Last semester my fairly easy schedule would of made this fine, but with me having classes that are not "bull shit" classes filling my schedule it is really stressful. Also, I have so much other stuff to be working on...scholarships, catching up on reading a novel and completing a report, and making time to have fun and not think about school at all.
